AnaKataCombo

Bio::

AnaKataCombo is this galaxy's premier time-traveling lounge-rock band.  With starry guitars and soul, these gentlemen delicately blend rocky riffs and mellow melodies to bring you songs of life, love, and occasionally superheroes.

With their eclectically original "lounge-rock" sound and particular brand of geekitude, AnaKataCombo will chill you out, rock your world, and even protect you from zombies (should the need arise).  AnaKataCombo began as a creative ensemble at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN and, today, the group is led by co-founders Andrew Mann (vocals) and Mark Baldwin (guitar).  Longtime members include Cole Mickelson (guitar), Joe Olsen (drums), and co-founder, Jason Miller (bass).

AnaKataCombo strives to create music that people will love; that will inspire and put folks in that sweet sweet lounge-rockin’ mood.  To provide positive and thoughtful themes of life, love, and all sorts of nerdy stuff, AnaKataCombo draws inspiration from a wide variety of favorite artists (musical and otherwise), fantastical books and movies, role-playing and video games, comic-books, and a variety of life experiences which may or may not include time-travel and urban vigilantism.

What does the future hold for AnaKataCombo?  The band’s first release, “If Once,” is really quite good and you should probably obtain a copy at your earliest convenience (if you know what’s good for you).  The Band’s aspirations include performing in Japan (We hear they like tall hairy guys over there), touring Europe (and activating the portal at stonehenge with our powerful secret harmonics), and, of course, being the first band to hold a concert on the moon.  In the immediate future, AnaKataCombo will be concentrating on writing new material.  With a refreshingly original lounge-rock sound, a broad scope of musical aptitudes, and the faculties to breed man-eating squid, the band pushes on with its signature lounge-rock sound.

Explore the pages, chill out to some tasty lounge-rock, and consider joining our international spaceman cult – if you can.  You won’t regret a thing...

Lounge-Rock as You Like it.
